Here’s how the world’s toughest animal ended up on the moon!

In 2019, a spacecraft was about to become the world’s first private craft to land on the moon… but then, it crashed. And it happened to be carrying a time capsule, including millions of pages-worth of information, human DNA, and at the last minute, they added tardigrades.

Tardigrades are incredible. They’re my favorite animal because they have the ability to dehydrate themselves to survive extreme environments… like space!

Scientists don’t know whether they survived the crash. They can’t rehydrate themselves. But technically, TECHNICALLY, Earths first off-planet colony might be made of water bears. Huge if true.
