I’ve had a lot of requests for an audiobook version, so I guess I should say that for me, and I suppose for most authors with a traditional publisher, the decision on whether or not to make an audiobook at all, and who voices it, isn’t up to me- it’s up to the publisher. I don’t say this out of a false sense of modesty, but because I had loads of requests for "Mavericks" in audiobook format, and some of them were phrased as if the commenter believed I had the final say. I don’t! So while I’m really glad that my publisher decided to spring for one this time, the next author you see on social media might not be as lucky. And it wouldn’t be their fault!

It was lovely seeing the interest for an audiobook in my comments, and I definitely think that a publisher will take such comments into account, so it’s useful to leave them, the ones that assumed it was up to me stressed me out a tad. I was really worried that the publisher would decide against the audiobook, and then you guys would all be disappointed in me.
