As part of his sweeping imposition of tariffs, US President Donald Trump had already slapped a 25% levy on Indian products. An additional 25% kicks in on Wednesday to punish India for continuing to buy oil from Russia.
For Indian textile exporters, this could be devastating. DW’s Manira Chaudhary met manufacturers, exporters and workers from the textile hub of Noida in Uttar Pradesh, to find out how they will react when the new tariffs take effect.
