London police arrested more than 400 people on Saturday as supporters of the recently banned ‘Palestine Action Group’ staged a protest at Parliament Square.

More than 500 people joined the demonstration on to denounce Israel’s war on Gaza.

Britain’s government banned the group in early July after activists broke into a Royal Air Force Base and vandalized two tanker planes as a protest against Britain’s support for Israel’s war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The protests in London were among a number of protests across the globe on Saturday opposing Israel’s planned siege of Gaza City and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
