Hungary passes constitutional amendment to outlaw public LGBTQ+ gatherings | DW News

From DW News.

Hungary’s parliament has passed a constitutional amendment to outlaw LGBTQ+ gatherings in public. The amendment, which was proposed by populist Prime Minister Viktor Orban, framed the ban as a means of protecting children from what it calls "woke ideology" and "gender madness". Critics describe the constitutional changes as another step towards authoritarianism and the dismantling of democracy in Hungary.
