From Global News.
A man who was hospitalized after being shot at a "No Kings" protest rally in Salt Lake City on Saturday succumbed to life threatening injuries and has died.
Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, described as an “innocent bystander” by authorities, was struck after an unidentified man in a neon green vest – believed to be part of a peacekeeping team at the event – shot three times at a separate man who was allegedly brandishing an AR-15-style rifle at demonstrators.
The man with the alleged rifle, Arturo Gamboa, was left with minor injuries after being shot by the supposed peacekeeper. Before he was shot, witnesses say Gamboa lifted the rifle and began running toward the crowd, holding the weapon in a firing position.
After being taken to the hospital, Gamboa was taken into custody on a murder charge Saturday overnight.
Detectives have accused him of creating the dangerous situation that led to Ah Loo’s death. An investigation is ongoing.
