A surprisingly capable laser effect unit with four lasers providing two distinctly different effects.
Two are for a laser aura effect and two are for a classic diffraction disk system.
This unit also has an onboard battery and charging system, and can also be powered by a USB supply while charging.
The circuitry is surprisingly complex compared to other similar units, and the two green laser modules are completely different. I’m guessing that’s because the higher power one contains onboard laser regulation.
The power supply section has buck, boost and linear voltage regulation for four distinct voltage rails.
The battery is two 18650 cells in parallel with a protection PCB, and it tested at a fairly respectable capacity of 3.5Ah.
This unit is worth buying just for the aura effect, but with a gearing/PWM mod to make the distortion disk run slower.
I think this unit came from eBay a while ago, but when you find a similar unit amongst the smog of other cheaper units they are really gouging the price. So here’s an AliExpress link instead (not a sponsor):-

Please keep in mind that misuse of lasers poses a genuine risk of permanent eye damage. It will manifest itself as a slight blurring of vision while your brain works around the damaged area. It is not something that will heal.
The green lasers usually use an infrared laser diode as their main lasing source and don’t just put out visible green light, but also strong invisible infrared light. Even when they are cold, hot, failing or just generally unhappy, the green laser modules may be putting out the full strength infrared component even if the green is barely glowing. So NEVER look into the end of a seemingly dim green laser.
At professional events using high power lasers there are strict regulations regarding eye contact, where lasers must be scanning at a high enough speed to minimise the average energy the eye is exposed to. For stronger beams they are aimed at targets above the audience, and there are often safety devices that detect if a laser alignment has drifted.
Disk Jockeys in nightclubs and amateur raves do NOT comply with laser regulations and often just point their lasers directly into the audience. If you feel that lasers at an event are being used with disregard for your eye safety then leave the event immediately.
