From Global News.
On Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said he is neither "overly optimistic nor pessimistic" regarding nuclear talks with the United States. It was Khamenei’s first comments reacting to the start of U.S.-Iran talks on April 12 in Oman.
"We don’t accept or trust them, we know who they are — but we’re optimistic about our own capabilities," Khamenei said.
Both delegations described the talks in Oman as positive and have agreed to convene once more on April 19 with Tehran saying the meeting will take place again in Muscat.
President Donald Trump said on Monday that he believed Iran is intentionally delaying a nuclear deal with the United States and that it must abandon any drive for a nuclear weapon. "If we have to do something very harsh, we’ll do it," Trump added.
