Some self-driving delivery robots have started rolling through select Toronto streets — without city approval. The Ontario government greenlit the pilot, which allows Magna International to deploy up to 20 autonomous bots on roads with speed limits under 40 km/h. While some experts say Canada is lagging in autonomous tech trials, others argue this is unwelcome, reigniting debate over driverless vehicles and where Canada stands on tech innovation.
