Seafood industry insiders tell Inside Edition that some Baltimore, Maryland restaurants are serving a mish-mash of crab meat imported from overseas to cut costs on their crab cakes. Inside Edition ordered crab cakes at five popular seafood eateries near the harbor in Baltimore. But when we sent our crab cake samples to an independent lab for DNA analysis, the lab results showed that two of the five samples came from swimming crabs not native to U.S. waters.
