Israeli protesters block main highway in call for the release of hostages held in Gaza

Israeli protesters took to the streets in Tel Aviv Sunday calling for the release of all remaining hostages in Gaza taken during Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

Marking 667 days of captivity, the protesters carried huge photos of hostages took position in the middle of a busy highway, drumming and chanting for their release.

Protesters also rallied at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv on Saturday, demanding the Israeli government end the Gaza war and ensures the return of all the hostages.

"We came here because yesterday we saw the videos of our hostages in captivity after 666 days, looking like skeletons and we just couldn’t stay home," said protester Shai Moses, the nephew of Gadi Moses, an 80-year-old hostage who was released in January after 15 months in captivity.
