Israel’s blockade leaves Gazans struggling to survive | AFP #shorts

A months-long Israeli blockade has sparked fears of famine in Gaza. Aid deliveries into the territory were halted on 2 March, days before the collapse of a ceasefire that had significantly reduced hostilities after 15 months of war.

Since the start of the blockade, the United Nations has repeatedly warned of the humanitarian catastrophe on the ground, with famine again looming. The International Criminal Court in November issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu partly on suspicion of the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare. Netanyahu rejected the accusations as "absurd and false".

The World Health Organization says women, infants, children and adolescents are at particular risk of malnutrition.
