People in Orebro laid flowers and lit candles on Wednesday outside the school where Sweden’s deadliest gun attack took place. At least 11 people died and many people were wounded in the attack at the Risbergska adult education centre in Orebro, central Sweden, on Tuesday.
"The suspected perpetrator is one of the deceased and we are continuing intensive investigative work to understand the circumstances surrounding him and try to create a picture to see if more are involved," local police chief Roberto Eid Forest said.
Survivor Dalea Abu Muhammad, who hid in a classroom near the canteen where the gunman entered said, "It was chaos."
"I thought that this was my last time, my last day. That I’m getting shot today, but I don’t know when," Hellen Werme, a nursing student, said.
