As final preparations get underway for the star-studded wedding between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, Greenpeace activists displayed a large banner that read “If you can rent Venice for your wedding you can pay more tax” in the famous St. Mark’s Square on Monday to protest the upcoming event. It comes as the couple is making last-minute venue changes, moving one of the lavish parties to the city’s old port shipyard which is much harder to access. NBC’s Molly Hunter reports for TODAY.
