In the depths of the 1930s Belgian Congo, two of the largest and most luxurious vehicles ever created crawl through the African jungle. These unique expedition vehicles were built for one of Europe’s most famous African explorers. They featured a fully electric kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, air conditioning, and even a tiled bathroom. But who made them, how did they fare, and where did they end up? I ordered too many books to try and find out.
