Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupted on Friday, shooting lava 100 feet into the air.
It was the volcano’s 31st eruption since December, underscoring its status as one of the world’s most active.

Officials said the eruption was contained within the summit crater and posed no threat to homes.
