Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who reunited with his family last week after being mistakenly deported to El Salvador and spending 160 days away, was taken back into ICE custody on Monday, according to his lawyer. Although these check-ins are normally routine updates, Abrego’s attorneys said they anticipated he would be detained again after the Trump administration announced over the weekend that it planned to deport him to Uganda.
