The sexual assault trial for five former world junior players continued today in Ontario Superior Court in London, with defence teams making their closing arguments. Lawyers took aim at the complainant’s reliability as a witness pointing to supposed gaps in her memory and arguing there is not adequate evidence to suggest she was coerced or provided ‘fear-induced consent.’
