Israeli protesters and families of hostages march to demand the return of their loved ones after a widely condemned Israeli settlement plan, which would cut across land that Palestinians seek for a future state, received final approval, according to a statement from Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

The Palestinian foreign ministry condemned the announcement, saying the E1 settlement would isolate Palestinian communities in the area and undermine the possibility of a two-state solution.
