Love wasn’t such a heavy lift for competitors in this year’s Wife Carrying World Championship race in Sonkajarvi, Finland. An American couple took first place in the competition, which sees husbands carry their wives through an obstacle course to win their partner’s weight in beer. For the first time this year, the competition features an all-women’s race.
