Old Orchard Beach in Maine has been a popular summer destination for Quebeckers and Canadians in general for more than a century.

But now with U.S. trade tensions heating up, cancellations are heating up and hurting business.

“Cancellations started to come in on a regular basis,” says Sterling Morse, the owner of the Point View Inn. Morse said about 90 per cent of his bookings were getting cancelled or paused. “It was pretty bleak,” he adds.
