A Pakistani national from Ontario wanted in the U.S. on terror-related charges in New York City, has agreed to be extradited.

Muhammad Shahzeb Khan has been jailed since his arrest Sept. 4 in Ormstown, Que., at the behest of U.S. authorities. During a Superior Court appearance in Montreal, on Thursday, he agreed to be extradited to the U.S. to stand trial.

Authorities allege Khan was on his way to carry out a mass shooting at a Jewish Centre in Brooklyn to mark the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

As Global’s Felicia Parillo reports, Khan will try to fight the terror-related charges against him.
