A Manitoba man who nearly died last fall in a crash in rural Manitoba says he was saved when a local farmer came upon the burning wreckage of his vehicle.

Colton Letkeman, 28, was driving home in late October when he swerved to avoid a deer at 80 km/h. His vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire.

As Iris Dyck reports, Letkeman says he managed to drag himself out of the car but believes he would have died if he hadn’t been rescued by a nearby farmer.
