Illegal Israeli settlement activity has forcibly expelled many Palestinians from their homes. Far-right members of the Israeli government, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, are calling for an illegal annexation of the occupied West Bank. Israel’s governent is supporting the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements are expanding, and its far-right ministers are planning on taking over what’s known as Area C in the West Bank. Whether President-elect Trump will impose limitations on this illegal activity or greenlight Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank remains to be seen.
