Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India expects to complete a free trade deal with the European Union by the end of this year. He said this as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen visited Delhi with a delegation that includes trade negotiators. As the US threatens tariffs against the bloc AND India, the EU chief expressed hope of improving trade relations.
