Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in over 60 fatalities, with attacks targeting shelters and residential areas. The attacks, which began late Friday and continued into Saturday, included strikes on a stadium in Gaza City where 12 people lost their lives.

Another strike on a tent in the al-Rimal neighbourhood killed 11 and wounded many others.

Palestinian residents of Gaza City searched for bodies and belongings on Saturday. Witnesses at the site described a massive explosion, with bodies scattered across the road.

"A very powerful explosion, that destroyed a whole block of around 15 tents. Tents made of cloth are bombed over those staying in them, most of which are women and children," said Abu Mohammed Abu Amsha, a displaced resident from Beit Hanoun.
