Netanyahu claims “no starvation” in Gaza amid growing anger over hunger crisis

From Global News.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday he doesn’t agree with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assertion that “there is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza.”

“I don’t know. I mean, based on television, I would say not particularly, cause those children look very hungry,” Trump said when asked by a reporter if he agrees with the statement Netanyahu made a day earlier at a Christian conference in Jerusalem.

Israel announced a pause Sunday in military operations for 10 hours a day in certain parts of Gaza and new humanitarian corridors amid global outrage over the worsening situation, as images of starving Palestinian children have caused growing alarm.

Aid agencies have welcomed the new measures but said they are insufficient to address the growing crisis.
