From DW News.
Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is a figure who sparks intense debate. Accused by many, including the UN and the International Criminal Court, of committing war crimes, Netanyahu remains a polarizing leader who clings to power.
Since the Hamas terror attacks on October 7, 2023, many thought Netanyahu’s influence was waning. However, after a year and a half of conflict in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, he remains firmly in control.
Despite facing fierce protests both at home and abroad over his military actions and various corruption scandals, Netanyahu has found new allies.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and U.S. President Donald Trump have thrown their support behind him, welcoming his radical approach—even as the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against him.
On To the Point we ask: “Netanyahu’s endless wars: How dangerous will they be for Israel?”
