New Brunswick wildfires: Blaze near Miramichi nearly triples in size to more than 1,100 hectares

A wildfire near Miramichi, N.B., has nearly tripled in size since Monday, according to the province of New Brunswick.

As of Monday afternoon, the Old Field Road wildfire has grown from around 450 hectares to 1,120 hectares in size.

As the fire burns, it shows no signs of stopping and that has left residents in the nearby community anxious.
