As a joke, Matty Roberts came up with the idea of "invading" Area 51, the military base in the Nevada desert associated with aliens and UFOs. The goof idea of storming Area 51 went viral. Three million people signed up for the so-called invasion. The Air Force warned they would protect the base from intruders. The FBI also announced it was monitoring events. Roberts and the phenomenon he sparked are now featured in the new Netflix documentary "Trainwreck: Storm Area 51."
