A new heatwave grips Portugal as temperatures rise above 40 degrees Celsius after recent wildfires saw almost the whole country being put on high alert for blazes. In the small village of Amareleja, in the Alentejo region, the mercury was already 41 degrees Celcius on Tuesday morning, with similiar temperatures expected in the the interior of the country.
