New Orleans prison escape: 6 men still at large after largest jail break in Louisiana history

From Global News.

On Friday, 10 inmates at the Orleans Justice Center – some of which were charged with murder –ran free after successfully pulling a sliding cell door off its tracks, then ripping a toilet and sink off a wall and crawling through the hole.

The prisoners left a message on the wall above the hole, which reads “To Easy LoL”. The escape was captured by surveillance cameras.

Orleans Justice Center worker Sterling Williams said one of the prisoners “advised him to turn the water off in the cell,” before they escaped, according to a statement from the Louisiana Attorney General’s office. Williams, 33, had reportedly been threatened to be stabbed if he did not cooperate.

Four of the ten escapees have since been recaptured, while authorities search for the remaining six.
