The National Transportation Safety Board officials will provide an update on Friday after a helicopter crashed into the Hudson River just off Manhattan, killing all six people, including three children.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the victims, including the pilot, were part of a family of Spanish tourists.

The husband, now identified as Siemens executive Agustin Escobar, his wife, Mercè Camprubí Montal and their three children were there to celebrate Mercè’s 40th birthday with the tourist helicopter flight on Thursday.

The crews are trying to recover as much wreckage as possible.
