The $45 Sharge Retractable 3-in-1 is inspired by the classic Braun 310 record turntable by legendary designer Dieter Rams, and it’s handy to have a built-in USB-C cable, AC charging prongs, and hidden battery level display in a single product. But this one’s way thicker than I thought it’d be at 40mm, and Anker sells an equally capable and more pocketable battery for the same price, plus a better grip on outlets. Is iconic design and a long retractable cord worth the tradeoffs?
