From Global News.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was in Huntsville, Ont., with Canada’s premiers on Tuesday to discuss his government’s ongoing trade negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration.
In his opening remarks, Carney said Ottawa was looking for "the best deal for Canada," in negotiations with Washington and they would "only accept" that.
He added that the government was also looking to support industries affected most by Trump’s tariffs, particularly lumber, steel, aluminum and automobile industries.
Carney commended the series of free trade agreements signed between provinces which he said was what Canadians want, "to remove all federal impediments to free trade."
