Democrats have few options for challenging President Trump and GOP majorities in Congress.
Some on the left say they had a chance last week over the government spending bill, but top Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer voted with the GOP and supplied the needed votes to pass the bill, angering many in his party.
On Wednesday, Schumer said he believes the United States is in a constitutional crisis during a conversation with PBS New Hour’s Geoff Bennett.
“Our democracy is at risk because Donald Trump shows that he wishes to violate the laws in many, many different ways,” Schumer told Bennett.
