Thousands of Palestinians were seen carrying bags of flour on their backs as they returned from the Zikim crossing on Tuesday. Issa Khader, an Arabic language teacher displaced from northern Gaza, carried a bag of flour for his family of six. They have been forced to move six times between different tents. Khader described the flour as “white gold.”
