Leaders from across Europe descended on Washington this week in a show of unity with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who came to meet with President Donald Trump. The hastily arranged meeting followed last week’s summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The goal of both efforts: end three years of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. PBS News Weekly takes a look into this latest effort for peace and the U.S.’ efforts to bridge the gap between Zelenskyy and Putin.
