‘People do have to have basic rights’: L.A. Mayor Karen Bass slams ICE raids

Amid a looming ICE presence and weeks of protests, the city at the center of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown has had a major change. A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from making arrests in numerous counties in California – including Los Angeles – without real, legitimate suspicions that people are in the country illegally. Additionally, ICE agents can no longer make arrests based on race, spoken language, or occupation. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass joins Alex to discuss the continued ICE raids, as well as an executive order she signed that could get more information on those who have been detained.
