Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre condemned U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday for his "historic mistreatment" of Canada by keeping tariffs active despite offering a 90-day pause for dozens of other countries.

"It remains a mystery why the president treats Canada worse that dozens of other faraway countries that were not America’s best friend," he said.

He also questioned the phone call Mark Carney had with Trump last week. "What progress? There are more American tariffs on Canada today than there were when Prime Minister Carney took office," he said.
