Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling for “severe limits” on a population he says has grown out of control.

Poilievre says the federal government needs to further restrict immigration to put a stop to “the free flow of drugs, illegal immigration, human trafficking” at the Canada-U.S. border.

The new harder stance on immigration comes as his polling numbers have collapsed.

But as Mackenzie Gray reports, the Conservative leader did not clarify what type of “severe limits” he’d like to see.
