Polls open in Portugal for a snap election that centre-right Prime Minister Luis Montenegro is tipped to win, but with no guarantee he can form a more stable government. The election was called after Montenegro, a 52-year-old lawyer, lost a parliamentary vote of confidence in March following accusations of conflicts of interest stemming from his consulting firm’s business. Montenegro has denied wrongdoing.
