Firefighters battle to contain a wildfire in north Portugal, one of more than a dozen blazes that have led to almost the whole country being put on high alert for fires. Portugal faces wildfires every summer with experts saying climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of droughts and fires around the world. Ten major fires are burning with two in the north and three in the centre of the country causing most concern.
