Protesters were removed, some forcibly, after speaking out against Trump policy issues at a town hall held by Republican Georgia U.S. representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. She is among the few congressional Republicans still willing to hold in-person town hall meetings in their home states, where they face heated criticism over President Donald Trump’s agenda and the prospect of deep cuts to social safety programs including Medicaid.

Three protesters were arrested, including two who were overpowered by police with stun guns, at Greene’s town hall, who dismissed concerns about tariffs and spending cuts as a result of brainwashing by the news media.

An overflow crowd in Fort Madison, Iowa, also confronted Republican US Senator Chuck Grassley, who faced questions on the impact of Trump’s tariffs on farmers and the potential effect of spending cuts on low-income Americans. 🔗 Read more about the disruptions at our link in bio.
