Putin meets Zelenskyy meets Trump: Could this three-way meeting actually happen? | DW News

From DW News.

The messaging coming out of the White House just 10 days ago was quite robust. But now it looks like the deadline imposed by the US President will come, and go.There’ll be some additional sanctions, but the war is far from over. On Wednesday, US special envoy Steve Witkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin to discuss the path forward.

The meeting lasted about three hours and Donald Trump hailed it as "highly productive" saying "great progress had been made". Immediately after the meeting, the US president briefed his Ukrainian counterpart and his European allies. The White House now wants to work toward an end to the war in what Trump called "the days and weeks to come."
