London’s Hemingford Road is usually filled with parked cars. But a few times a year, Rachaeal turns her parking spots into a parklet, built by neighbors, for neighbors. Parklets started in San Francisco in 2005 as an act of “guerrilla urbanism”?Today, cities like London are slowly catching on, sometimes led by local councils, but often also by residents who are tired of cars taking up so much public space.
