The Justice Department filed charges Monday against Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver, who is accused of assaulting and interfering with law enforcement officers in April at an ICE facility in Newark. She says she was there to inspect the treatment of detainees at Delaney Hall and that it was the agents who created an unsafe confrontation.
