The emirate of Fujairah has installed rumble strips that allows drivers to pass over them to hear Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. The project is meant to increase road safety and integrate music into daily life. Similar Musical Roads exist in the United States, Japan and Hungary, but this is the first permanent road in the Arab world according to the Fine Arts Academy in Fujairah.
