Russia launches over 500 drones, missiles on Ukraine in overnight attack

Russia launched more than 500 drones and missiles across Ukraine overnight Sunday, striking multiple regions and killing at least three people.

Six others, including a child, were injured in the central city of Smila, where residential buildings and a college were damaged.

A Ukrainian F-16 pilot also died while responding to the assault.

The strikes come as Ukraine announced its withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention banning land mines
