From Global News.
South Korea reached a deal with the U.S. to lower tariffs on exports to 15 per cent, avoiding a threatened 25 per cent rate.
President Lee Jae Myung said the agreement reduces uncertainty and strengthens bilateral economic ties.
As part of the deal, South Korea will invest $350 billion in U.S. projects and purchase $100 billion in energy.
But critics at home, including farmers and protesters, fear hidden costs on defence spending and agriculture access.
